Graphic design

Graphic design includes many different elements and is becoming a mainstream part of society with Internet advertising and user accessibility at a all new high. It has never been easier to produce high quality work with a computer making the industry more competitive with millions of artists submitting their work to art forums, youtube and animation sites such as newgrounds.
But is this a good thing? The increase of art submitted onto the internet makes it very hard for employers to filter through and pick out the best of graphic design. When employers are seeking animators on the internet they tend to hire big names such as weebl. Weebl is not a uncommon animator, Through building up his fan base with his early animations he has been able to make his own company of graphic designers who work in several different aspects of media including C.G.I. Flash animation and advertising. Tom Phulp has had a similar approach to the market, he started of as a fairly average animator but he created the site 'newgrounds' which is youtube of flash animation, were any flash animator can post their animations and have their work judged by the newgrounds community . Through this tom phulp has been able to been able build his wealth and even even publish his own game titles such as alien hominid and castle crashers.

Animating is not the only form of graphic design however. Many people now have been able to use programs such as photoshop to create graphic design for a living or even just as a hobby.
sites such as deviant art have allowed artist and graphic artists to submit their work with ease whilst making them a part of almost the google images of art.
