Colouring With Gradients
Recently I have tried working with gradient fills rather than flat colour in Flash. Needless to say I've been extremely happy with results. Below is an image I have created from scanning into illustrator and then exporting into Flash after using the live trace function. As usual I did all the colouring in Flash but this time restricted myself to using gradient fills. Once I had completed colouring I exported the image as a JPEG. The colouring process took a lot of time to complete on this illustration because the amount of detail in it but I'm really happy with the final picture, especially with how the gradients turned out. The colour helps individual characters pop out more. I think I will definitely make more images like this one and continue using gradients in my artwork.
