Web Comic (Issue 1 - Dry Lips)

Here is my very first Web Comic (click on the image above to enlarge).
The Idea behind the comic is that each strip makes the viewer want to do something; in this strip I want to make people lick their lips.
I got the idea from the many different occasions when people have mentioned something along the lines of breathing or itching. When ever this happens I find myself having to to think about breathing or itch myself. I am pretty happy with this strip although I think it could be slightly neater however this may be because of the image format as the pictures look a lot better in real life. I am also creating an subliminal animation about thirst to run along side this project. I've currently completed about 1300 frames of animation, all of which is frame by frame at 23 frames per second.

I created this strip by first painting my characters with acrylic, and then outlining them with a fine pen. I then scanned them into Photoshop. The frames and bubbles were done in Macromedia Flash and also copied into Photoshop. The background of each frame is my painting board which I have also scanned into Photoshop. Once everything had been created I organised them into a final compile.
