Good.Boy - Animation production

My 'Dogbot' character has now been completely finished. All that remains now is to complete the final animation. I've kept my set for the animation fairly basic as I wanted to have a stronger emphasis on lighting instead. This creates a lot more atmosphere and focuses attention on the character. I've kept the lighting dark and gloomy as I'm trying to create a very cold mechanical feel for the animation. This is so that I can really reinforce the fact that the dog character is a robot. I've found animating a quadruped pretty challenging but definitely worth while. I think the most difficult part of this project so far was making sure the skeleton was rigged properly. Fortunately I think I've succeeded in making a rig that is capable of flexing in all the ways I need it to. It's not 100% accurate to how a real dog moves but I reckon this is a good thing considering the character is mechanical. I really looking forward to finishing this production now as I'm really happy with what I've achieved so far.
